Please ensure that you have read the instructions on the mod post **THOROUGHLY ****before reading this or coming to the Discord for additional help.
- Why are the interactions not showing up for me on the computer, vanity, etc?
Answer: Ensure that you have the most updated version of the XML Injector. Also ensure that you have the required packs for this mod. If you do, then there might be a conflict in your folder, or a bug in your game.
- The words for my interactions are blank. What can I do?
Answer: Ensure that you have the most updated version of the XML Injector. Also there may be a conflict of sorts in your mods folder.
- Does this mod require a pack?
Answer: Yes, this mod requires Vintage Glamor, Get Famous, and if you want to use Business activities it requires Business and Hobbies.
- Does this mod conflict with any mods?
Answer: As of now, there are no reported conflicts.
- Why can’t my Sim do XYZ?
Answer: Ensure that your Sim has the level required for that particular interaction. Also note that some social interactions are only available when your Sim has the Makeup Enthusiast trait.
- Where can I find the social interactions?
Answer: They will be in the Interest submenu of the Friendly category. There is also an interaction in Affection as well as Malicious.
- Where can I find the Makeup Enthusiast trait?
Answer: The trait is in the Hobby section of CAS (Create-A-Sim).
- Can my Sims teach makeup as a skill?
Answer: Unfortunately not. This mod does not allow for Sims to teach this skill on the hobby board. I tried adding it, but it was causing a visual glitch. I will review it and try again when I can. However, your Sim can mentor other Sims at level 5.
- Why isn’t the makeup showing up on my Sim?
Answer: This mod overrides EA’s makeup at the vanity table and the styling station that came with Get Famous. The makeup will not show.
- Are you going to create a version where the makeup shows on the Sim?
Answer: Most likely not. That requires me to go back in and reverse it for every single makeup iteration. I’m not too keen on doing that.
Other things to consider:
- Ensure that you have script mods enabled in your game options.
- Ensure that the mod is not too deep in subfolders. Keep mods (especially script mods) one subfolder deep.
- Sometimes mods may stop working, which is almost always a glitch/bug on EA’s end. In this case, there is not much I can do. Try redownloading the mod and trying again.
- Sometimes problems with mods may be due to your game needing an update/repair.
- Try to avoid using OneDrive to download mods. There can be some issues when downloading and using mods there.
- Delete your localthumbcache often. This is located in your game folder.
